I miss the old gas cans….
So I have my 86 IROC on jack stands in my detached garage. Bought it in 93 as my daily driver. Took it from Orlando to Idaho to Virginia in the USN. Parked it for a while as I was overseas and came back to buy my first truck. Started a project with it and bought a motorcycle, then another bike, then got married, had kids and bought a house…. Blah blah blah.
Now my first born is almost 20 and in boot camp, second born is finishing high school and wants to see this old beast on the road.
Changed the oil and added some B12 chemtool to make sure there’s no moisture in the gas, got a new battery and trying to put some gas in the tank. The stupid gas can doesn’t reach the little shutter in the fuel filler neck, so as I squeeze the EPA trigger on this contraption it still doesn’t poor out. Of course I could try to use a manual transfer pump but would have to yank out the internal screen that’s supposed to prevent fires from getting into the gas cans.
Stupid government helping with gas cans regulations.
End of my first world problem rant.
