First time ordering

I have ordered my first f-150 through my Dealership. I received an email from Ford confirming my order on 1/12/21. Is the best thing to do just wait for ford to send me another email when the vehicle is scheduled for production, or are there any other mechanisms possible where I can track my status? I appreciate anyone's help or input. I understand that this question may be asked frequently but I am new to this so I ask your patience with me.

Wait, wait and wait some more. Seriously just wait, at some point you will get a vin number and then wait more.

You've gotta wait to get a VIN to do much. It took about 3/4 weeks from mine to come via email. At that point you can throw it in the tracker...does nothing else than let you know Ford corporate actually has you order correct. About a week before production (you wont be notified) your tracker will update to 'in production' and at the bottom your window sticker will be populated. I can't tell you much more beyond that point because my truck is on a chip hold waiting in DRB. Cheers! FYI, the Estimated Delivery is wonky, don't trust it....

Where are you seeing a build week on the tracker? I have a vin and a build week of 2/28/22 but that build week doesn’t show anywhere on the tracker. The dealer provided me that

How does the tracker know. Is it an official ford tracker? Must b because how else would that I do be available
