First F150 - Build Thread

Figure I would start a thread for my F150 journey. Won’t be doing anything crazy but for anyone like me you’re constantly looking for pictures of that next mod so why not share.

First time Ford owner after owning both a Ram and Silverado. I’ve had the truck for about 3 weeks and so far loving it! I’ll start off with one of the few stock photos I have a few days after bringing it home.

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Compared to the Ram and Silverado, how has the f150 measured up for you?

One of the first mods was beginning to get rid of the little bit of chrome on the truck. Wasn’t planning to post pictures so I didn’t take any of the process.

Tailgate badge and fender vents were taken apart, painted, then epoxied back together. Fender vent lettering and XLT badge were painted gloss black. Tailgate badge has gloss black lettering and trim with satin background.

Exhaust tip was painted satin black. Not expecting this to last too long so I’m still trying to figure a permanent option.

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Compared to the Ram and Silverado, how has the f150 measured up for you?

I’m liking the it more than I thought I would. The Ecoboost has all the power I missed from the Ram when I got the Silverado. The interior space of the F150 seems a little larger than the others as well.

Wasn’t planning to get an intake so soon but auto zone has the K&N 77 series for $238.99 plus 20% off. Couldn’t pass it up.

Picked up a set of Morimoto headlights and tails during the Black Friday sales this week. Went with the white DRL’s up front and smoked taillights. Blacked out the Ford emblem while I had the grill off too. Still debating on getting the 3rd brake light.
