Fender vent badge rubber gasket replacement

Does anyone know what ford used for this gasket that lines the fender vent badge on the side with the red line? I need to replace mine after taking the badge apart for paint matching.

I'm guessing its just some good double sided closed cell foam tape. Possibly butyl tape also?

Probably 3M tape. Any parts store has it in different thickness and widths

3M VHB tape, black (high strength) version. They grey standard version will work just as well.

Skier167 looks like you've taken on another upgrade! ? check out 3m vhb trim adhesive tape it works great. This is what body shops use and new emblems usually come with the pre affixed to them from the dealer.

Yes the chrome delete has started….?. Getting door handles, fender badges, the silver center of the raptor center caps paint matched. Just got rims powder coated as well. I took a stab at trying to paint them myself but smoked quartz is tough out of a spray can. Ended up taking them to a painter. What’s funny is when I was calling around for quotes I got things like “oh that color” or “that’s a fun one” ??

I mostly chrome deleted my Platinum. I love how it looks now. Not as flashy as well.

You can reuse highlighted area, you'll need VHB in the center area.

After installing a slide topper on our TT a few weeks ago, that sure looks like butyl tape, but wouldn't rule out the 3m vhb.

That’s what I thought too cause it’s a single side adhesive and the outside of it has a gasket feel to it.

How difficult was it removing the F150 logo from the side vents? Been meaning to respray those a black or a darker color.

Plastic door panel pry bar, or grab and pull, seems like your about to rip the panel off but they pop off.
