I have a 2021 F150 KR PowerBoost with 16500 miles.

I'm 65 yrs old and want a leveling kit or 3 inch lift kit with new tires and rims.

My wife laughs, says I'm too old.

I am concerned this might mess something up relating to computer software etc.

Do I have a dumb idea? What are the pros and cons to consider.

If you have experience with this issue what kit works best, rims, tires not too aggressive etc. ??

My truck is Silver black trim.

Thank you.

I'm a geezer too, even older than you. I was more interested in running boards and 18" wheels that make the truck easier to get into, not taller and harder. :)

I'm 52 and one of the first things I did to my F150 PB was put a 2.5" level on it. Has about a 1/2 rake to it now and looks SOO much better. So never too old.

As far as downsides, a slight reduction in gas mileage, potential for rear squat when towing or hauling heavy loads (easily fixable), and might need aftermarket upper control arms for proper alignment and longer front CV shafts if the lift is 3" or more. This is why I stopped at 2.5" since it could still be easily aligned.

Pros - Looks MUCH better than the huge rake the have from the factory. Better ground clearance.

I like what you did 2.5 and with my electric running boards in up position 2.5 lift kit would look great.

If possible, could you post photo of your truck? Thank you.

This is a 2.5 leveling puck kit. I ended up adding a 2" block in the back to regain a little bit of the rake to your eyes. With the factory block it sits too level for my taste and with my dumb decision to go with 325/45R24 tires, I needed as much lift as I could get, haha. If you stick with a true 35x12.5 tire or 35x11.5 tire and a wheel that's for close to the factory offset of +44, you should be fine with no rubbing. My 21 platinum had 35x12.5 tires, same 2.5 inch leveling puck, wheels had a +24 offset, didn't rub at all.

Post a Pic when you've got it done, happy shopping!

52 here 😁

It looks really good. Level kit right nothing else? Did anything change performance wise? Thank you.

Thanks. Of all the cars/trucks I have owned over the years and tinkered with to make them faster, I have done pretty much nothing to this truck. The PB is plenty powerful enough so I didn't feel like it needed a tune or exhaust work, or at least in my opinion that is. I have considered getting the Livernoise PB specific upgrade to allow for more use of the EV side of the truck but would leave the overall power stock, but so far have not done anything on that front.

The only major things I have done to it are the front level, replaced the rear FX shocks for Bilstein 5100's, some minor cosmetic mods like swapping the chrome XLT grill for the Lariat sport grill, and Forscan coding changes.

Chances are you might need to take the truck in to have the camera's recalibrated with a 3 inch lift.
