I believe you can customize gauges in Forscan., as well as changing the DTRLs from parking to another choice.
To get info Forscan, go to Youtube, search for Forscan and I would watch many different videos from different people before trying anything on your own and blindly going into Forscan. First thing save your default configuration on all modules and make a only one change at a time is my advice. There are quite a few content creators on Youtube, with a lot of good information, but look at different posters, so you can discriminate between the good and bad info out there.

I am overall very happy with my 2024 but there are a few quirks that I wish I could change.

1. Preserving my AC settings between drives. It's been cooler overnight where I live so I've been turning off the AC and opening the windows. It's mildly annoying to have the A/C default to On every time I start the truck even if it's 50 degrees outside.

2. The seatbelt display in the center of the cluster won't go away automatically when the seat belts are fastened. You have hit OK on the wheel or wait a very long time. Yes, I know my seatbelt is fastened. Go away now.

III. Keeping the gear display up between drives without having to hit the +/- every time. Not sure why they changed this as previous years going back as far as my 2011 retained it's setting.

D. It would be nice to have even more gauges available, particularly for Powerboost-specific stuff like HVB SOC, temps, etc. Actually I would prefer even more customizability for the digital dash in general.

if I were Ford, I would NOT do this. Properly interpreting gauges like these, especially things like SOC requires a fair degree of insight into what they mean and how to interpret what they are saying.

not being unkind, but many threads on this forum make it abundantly clear that the community of those who have the background and knowledge to do so is really quite small. For those without the requisite understanding, such gauges would be nothing but a source of anxiety and angst.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
You know, there are bugs, then there are nits, then there are shits. I have had all three. I dislike Ford's approach to some things as well.

I have a 2023 GMC Yukon Denali XL with SuperCruise plus other stuff I cannot figure out how to use. Even the dealer cannot figure out some of it, and it is clearly spelled out in the OWNERS MANUAL!!!!!! It cost them $600 last time they "fixed" it without reading it. But it is a fabulous highway car with air springs and the 6.2, and that is what we bought it for.

If Ford made that SUV with a supercharged 5.0 as an option I would have bought it. I just could not get around a V6 that needed twin turbo assists to overcome what was otherwise an under powered V6. A 5.0 does not need the extra power under most conditions. A V6 has no choice. Plus turbos live in a super-hot environment. The unturbo'd V6 works better in a car, but a Ford truck works as a truck.

All that being said, I have a 21 F150 Lariat 5.0 and have been impressed with its highway performance. So Ford's use of a turbo'd V6 in their competitive SUV cost them. I suspect as we get further down the road the 5.0 will disappear altogether, which makes the next choice very interesting.

Chances are I will be missing all my teeth and drooling in a nursing home before I need to make that decision.

All of this to say, even with hell, high water, no toilet paper, and no bug spray I would buy my same Lariat today as long as it had the 5.0. I am a all hat and no cattle truck owner. That means I need something to hold most of a 4x8 sheet of plywood, a bag of dog food, and a bag of charcoal.

Although Ford has its sins, even some with no forgiveness options, it is still a very comfortable work truck. Tundra's suck. Rams have downsized their engines. I already own a GMC SUV. So Ford it is. I would do it again.

Kind of like my wife for 50 years and 5 days now. She's not worth trading given what else is out there. Plus I can do all the tricks in my sleep now.

Supercruise should be a button on the wheel -- was simple to turn in my last GM.

The wife taught me that one. Ford is not difficult either. It is a learning curve that is disastrously long. Maybe the F150 needs an Olga, like Siri, to do this stuff for you.

First of all, technology giveth and it taketh away!

I do appreciate many of the tech features and creature comforts but here are a few annoying F150 bugs that I would certainly change if I had my druthers:
1. The external marker, cargo and tail lamps turn on every time I open or close a door. I wish to disable this. I have searched manuals, switches and settings high and low and contacted Ford support multiple times regarding this matter. Ain’t nothin doin!
2. The interior “dome” lights button will not override the automatic on feature. For instance; I turn on the lights by pushing the button and forget to push it again before getting out. I have to get back in the truck, close the door and wait for the automatic circuit to time out before I can then turn the lights off again!
3. The cargo light button will not override the automatic on feature. If the cargo light is on and I wish to turn it off then I should be able to push the button and have that happen! Also the opposite. (Push button, reverse current state)
4. The headlamp switch will not preserve the current state post ignition. For instance, if the switch is in the marker light or off position with the engine not running and I then start the truck, the switch will default to auto and the lights will come on! Not ideal for backing out of the driveway without shining lights through the house windows.
5. The center cluster screen will not preserve the selected mode. It would be nice to not have to select the preferred display screen every time I start the truck.
6. The trip meters tend to reset automatically on occasion. They also display “hold ok to reset” for several seconds over the numbers I am trying to read every time they are selected.

I have a 2023 STX and there are many features that I truly appreciate but the ones above have been the most annoying! NO stealth lighting for camping or courtesy, for one thing. Thoughts, suggestions, solutions? Thanks for reading through this. Be well!
I agree a stealth option would be nice when camping, with a rooftop tent a lot of my gear is in the cab so setting up after sundown brings every mosquito for two miles to my cab. sometimes we leave the windows open for a while with a lantern nearby just to get some of them out.

Yup, because of the lights I was getting swarmed every time I opened or closed a truck door while camping last summer. There was a graveyard of dead insects in the truck after. I absolutely wish there was a stock setting to disable those lights, seems like a no-brainer.
I ended up putting a bright light out away from the camp to draw some of the bugs away and then used a red headlamp to do tasks.
