That's exactly what happened to me. I showed the guy my number from Flood and said do this and I'm in. He was flabbergasted. Said their cost was higher than the Flood sell-price. He just shrugged it off with no drama, but a bit bummed I have to pay the $2k-ish up front vs rolling it into my low interest loan. I've also got my points to burn on it anyhow.
Yep!! I'm waiting for my 42,000 points. It has only been 5 days but as soon as they show up I'm using them on this.

I brought my quote from Flood Ford to my dealer when I went to pick up my truck. He took one look and said "I can't do that price!" So I just said "No problem, i'll just get it online then"

He then sat there clicking on stuff on his computer and then said "ok, I actually can beat that price by $300, it just won't have the first day rental or light coverage." ?

He also tried telling me that the light coverage thing wasn't offered by ford so he "doesn't know why Flood Ford shows it as an option"

I said thanks but no thanks haha.

I read @currybob 's initial email, and I've ready some of the other posts. Specifically the paid up code for Zeiger.

Right now, I'm looking at the 7 year, 100k warranty.

For $0 deductible:
Flood has this for $2055
Zeigler has this for $2045

What isn't clear to me is whether or not the Zeigler is before the PaidInFull discount? Also - I can't seem to find the area on their website to enter this code.

Anyone have any insight on this?

I want that same plan and Flood is inexplicably cheaper on both ESP and maintenance, so if you buy both Flood saves you over Ziegler even with the code. I think the $2055 is for 8 years, mine shows 7 years as $1845. This is Flood's table for 4x4:

It goes in coupon code when you are ready to check out.

Good catch! I copied and pasted the rates into excel and the columns all shifted by 1 column. $210 cheaper than I thought I was spending.

For me, the sweet spot seems to be the savings from going with the $50 deductible. That takes 6 repairs to break even. If the truck is "more reliable" than that, then I am guaranteed to save money. If the truck needs more than 6 repairs from years 3+1 day -> 7 years, then I'm out only by $50 increments.

The $100 deductible doesn't quite give that same balance.

I did the 8yr/100k option with $100 deductible. It is $450 cheaper, so I would need to use it 5 times for it to break-even with $0. If I use it more than that then I will probably be considering a different vehicle at that point. So far I have only used it once in 7 years for my 2014 Explorer.

For Zeigler, I tried the coupon code PaidInFull (paidinfull, PAIDINFULL) and it said incorrect. Do I have the correct code, has it expired, or something else?

A few more questions -
  • On Ziegler, it gives a choice - ESP only, ESP and Maintenance, Protect Maintenance. Are people buying ESP only or ESP and Maintenance? I chose ESP and Maintenance.
  • It asks - How many years of original warranty? I chose 3 for a new F150.
  • Then, it wants the service interval - 5000, 7500, 10000? What's a reasonable number?
  • Synthetic Oil - Y/N
Any advice on good answers to the above would be appreciated. I am thinking Maintenance as well as we take our vehicles to the dealer for maintenance.

I did not see all these questions on the Flood site. Are these because I chose ESP and maintenance here?

PS: I played with the answers - service interval, synthetic oil, etc. And, they do not seem to change the price $2255 for 8/1000 - Premium ESP. That's a higher number than posted here...
