Radio pops so loud at start up I need to change my pants. It happens every 4 weeks or so. At 3,800 miles. I haven't been able to figure out anything that I am doing differently that might help figure this out. It has happened about 5 times now. Takes the radio a while before it starts working again.

Got my Platinum Powerboost less than a month ago and I got the nasty noise several times. It seems to be related to Apple Carplay in my case and something with the FM module. The only way I was able to get rid of the super loud noise was to switch from FM to SiriusXM and back. Also I lost my favorite stations for almost a week and today they came back. Or the phone won't connect to carplay unless I stop the car, open door and restart the engine again. Today the system rebooted while driving on highway. These are very serious issues and safety important, my dealer only scheduled me in a month.

I am having a similar issue. But in my case, it's a large explosion from the radio threw the speakers at start up. I'm scheduled to go in the day after Thanksgiving. They tell me if they can't reproduce the problem Ford will not pay them for warranty call. This sucks, because it happens so infrequently. Five times in the 6 months i have had it. It also powered off while driving once and restarted.

Just experienced the loud popping and unbelievable loud noise from the speakers. I was starting up the truck and put it in reverse and the static started! Even after I turned truck off it continued for about 5 min then just stopped on its own.

Has anyone found/been given a solution to this? My truck is supposed to arrive next month and we have a newborn at home. Def concerned about this.

I had something like this once back in March. I had to pull the AMP unit fuse to make it stop. Seems like the AMP related issue. I couldn't do anything with the Radio unit. Once I pulled the Fuse #28 (I believe) 30 A from the passenger side fuse box, I let it sit for 5 mins then put the fuse back in and radio and amp worked. By the time I found the fuse number that was the amp, my truck smelled like burning wires.
It has only happened once since I got my truck in 12/21.
