Even if you are able to get into the truck, you will not be able to start it if you have somehow lost your key or fob.

Maybe, if you are sure that you can get into the truck, you could hide a spare key somewhere inside of the cab or under the hood.

I think this will work if you have a key start

I’m not familiar with how fobs work so don’t know if you can hide a fob in the truck. The truck may sense it and not allow you to lock the doors.

If you do have a fob and you can’t lock the doors with the fob inside, maybe you can wrap it in foil or put it in a metal box or even remove the battery and store it separately before hiding it to prevent the truck from seeing it and refusing to lock the doors.
so they make what it’s called a faraday pouch. It’s essentially a vinyl type pouch with a mesh screen interior. It blocks the RF transmissions for the key fob using one of these would allow you to place a spare key fob inside the truck.

I typically don’t thing its a great idea to have one inside the cab or near. Phone app and my regular one. If I ever got locked out Gus I’d have to get ahold of someone to grab the spare from home.
