Went with the Eibach Coilover kit and rear reservoirs, didn’t see much on these so figured I’d share. The coilovers threaded all the way down is a .5” lift on my RCSB. With a reverse level in the back it’s a .5” rake from back to front. Only took 45min each side for the front, if you have the right tools. About 30 min for rear, only downside is they don’t come compressed.
(I took the pic before threading them down)

How’s the ride? Any idea on how firm these are compared to Bilstein or fox? Eibach says “digressive piston with linear valving” which is confusing to me because I thought shocks are typically one or the other.
my only complaint about the new fox 2.0 is that they seem like they only have an inch of travel. Any drop off like a steep dive way, pothole, speed bump etc and they slam and top out. They didn’t give me the full 2” lift either, but I’ve read that eibach’s are longer and have more shock travel? I’m considering swapping out for a set of these now.

This is my first non-lowered truck set up so my experience is not vast. I love the valving so far, exactly what I was wanting. Night and day difference from stock, soaks up bumps easily but still stiff enough to not have crazy body roll or brake dive.
More control and confidence all around, before it was just a boat floating around with a back end bucking along.
I haven’t hit anything big enough around town to bottom them out and I’ve been on janky roads here. I do plan on going to palo duro / Merus with this set up and that will be my offroad test.
Watch tinkerer’s adventure videos, before changing your setup.

Almost every aftermarket coil-over is the same extended length as the factory strut ± a few tenths of an inch, with the same compressed length, thus the same total travel capability. Preload added to raise the vehicle height on coil overs takes travel from the droop and moves it to the bump. They don't lengthen anything, they just stop the suspension from moving 2" (at the wheel, like 1.4" at the damper) early So yeah, coil overs have always done this.

For them to not do this, they would have to make longer bodies, and right now the only maker doing this for "leveling" lifts is Rough Country. The damper bodies are longer, so they act like a spacer, but with better damping and the same as stock travel. Other makes don't make longer bodies until the 4" lift versions, which obviously are meant to use with full 4" lifts.

Eibach claims “extended travel” but I can’t find any specs to confirm this. I might reach out to them for an answer. The fox 2.0’s spec only 4.9” travel. Icon also claims extended travel but I haven’t found their specs either, except for this review (pic below). Wish I would’ve known all this going in to it

Did any of you guys end up going with the Eibach coilovers? One appealing feature is that they may last a lot longer than Fox.

Baddeal I have the Eibach kit on the way, wondering how difficult the coilovers were to adjust on the truck?

I also rode in a friends truck who had the Fox coilovers and it rode well, however if one of the front wheels dropped (ie a pothole) the shock would top out and it could be felt and heard (pretty annoying) inside the cab. Wondering if it would help to add a 1" puck to the top of the coilover, adjust the coilover for the same amount of level accomplishing a bit more suspension droop?

They weren’t difficult to adjust down, however I’m trying to step up to a 35x11.50 so I’ll be finding how hard it is to go back up today.
I might cheat and compress the spring though so I can spin it quicker. I don’t see why you would need to since these are longer than the fox set up.

If you don't mind update after you readjust, curious how difficult it is and what you had to do to move them back up.
