I find myself in the market for a drop hitch. I don't pull a travel trailer or anything like that. At most I pull a 16 foot trailer with a 245 Massey on it or some rental mini backhoe. The reason I need one is because my 05, and I guessing the Tremor I'm gonna get will be the same, sits so high that in some spots I have trouble unhooking the trailer. So what brands/models have you had good luck with the past as I've never used one before.

I've used a trimax razor for 10 or 12 years with a few different trucks. Still have it. Can't remember what drop adjustment it has either 6 or 8 inches. Still nice and shiny.

I've got a B&W and a Weigh Safe Aero. The B&W is good but I definitely prefer the Weigh Safe. It's cheaper, lighter, not nearly as bulky and has a higher weight rating. Not to mention that the Weigh Safe has the added bonus of the built in tongue weight scale. That's the main reason I bought it but, truth be told, I'd still prefer it even without that feature.

My B&W wasn't the chrome version. It also had some surface rust issues that extended into the pinholes and required maintenance to keep the pins from seizing. I rarely kept the hitch mounted when I wasn't using it.

There are a lot of options with the Equalizer as well.

I've had great experiences with adjustable drop hitches. They give you the flexibility to adjust the drop height depending on the trailer you're towing. This is especially helpful if you tow trailers of different heights.

For a standard non-adjustable drop hitch I’ve had several CURT brand over the years. Good quality finish, welds etc. I had a 10K 6” drop for my F250 but I’d never tow anything heavy without the weight distribution type.
