I have a 2021 F150 Fx4 rcsb. it hase a 5.0,ten speed autmatic and 3:73 gears. It has a drone or slight vibration in any gear at 1200-1500 rpms. Above this rpm range it seems to go away. sitting still in park or neutral it doesnt have that drone. I was wondering if anyone els has experienced this issue.

You're probably noticing when the cylinder deactivation is active. Is this happening when you're maintaining steady speed with little load on the engine?

^^^^^^ what he said.

and if you give it a little pedal, you sometimes it kinda "thump", where its going from 4 to 8 cyl mode.

Its a thump like the torque converter is disengaging, and sometimes it can feel like a slight vibration (not continual).

a little load. if its cylinder deactivation it would do it in 1st gear at 1500 rpm would it? Ill try it in sport mode i think that disables Cyl deactivatrion.

You would not see cylinder deactivation until you were up to speed and there was not much load on the engine. you would NOT notice cylinder deac. in 1st gear (1st gear is about 1 second in my truck)

Tow/Haul Mode deactivates cylinder deactivation, NOT sport mode.

Tow Haul mode will hold gears and revs longer. I don't see mine going past 7 in t/h mode.
