Doors seem to be unlocking over and over again

Was sitting on the tailgate looking at the FordPass app and decided to lock my doors with the app. They locked like normal so then I unlocked the doors and after they unlocked I could here the unlocking sound about every 2 mins or so. I started the truck and the unlocking sound stopped. Was wondering if this could be a battery drain issue like other people have had? I will definitely not be using the app again till I can take it to the dealer...really starting to regret this purchase,,, too many electrical bugs and I’m a working man can’t be driving to the dealership everyday for issues with a NEW truck.

TRUE!! ...... "too many electrical bugs!" We've deleted the FordPass app. We want a TRUCK & not a 5,000 pound computer that seems to have a mind of its own.

This is exactly why I wanted the STX; still a lot of computerized stuff but has the least out of bunch.

Even if everything goes smooth and they manage to fix your problems on the first attempt, going to the shop for repairs is not always an easy feat to incorporate into your working day. May the Lord protect us all from any issues that cannot be solved at home.

Damn there was actually someone that had their new truck broken into and snooped in recently that was certain he locked his doors.

I've found with Ford products if you unlock a door with a remote but don't physically open the door in a period of time then the doors re-lock. Maybe you were hearing them re-lock?

I had a locking issues as well. I always lock my truck. I also check that all vehicles are locked at night when walking my dog. Randomly my truck would be unlocked more often than locked when I checked (no remote in my pocket). My truck also drained the battery one night down to 8V. After bringing the truck in, they reloaded all programs including new versions for lights/ windows. I have not had either issue since the software update. I also had an electric trailer brake module toast during this event. Part just came in and getting replaced this week. You should definitely bring it in for a software update/ re-flash.

Maybe it was doing it over and over because the tailgate you were sitting on did not lock.

That may be the issue didn’t think about the tailgate being down as an issue but you could be right.
