Does this cap belong on the engine? Found it sitting near the valve cover?

Pretty sure it's cap that covers equipment opening prior to install. Such as covering the opening on the A/C compressor or something like that to keep contamination out during shipping.

Cleanliness cap for a hose or line, like an A/C line prior to installation. Suspect it does not belong on your engine.

Do what we do in my family, throw it in the "junk box" and in 20 years you'll never find a use for it..

Or do what I do, set it aside somewhere thinking it might be something, after 1 year, see it again where I set it aside, throw it away. 1 year + 1 month, just figured out what it goes to and I need it.... :-(

Yup, throw it away and a week later you find out it's a very important part of your truck that is back ordered for 10 years and costs big $$$$. Story of my life.
