So I think my tailgate might be loose but haven't had success finding exactly what I should try to adjust. I saw someone shaved down the stops which doesn't seem like the best route.
Basically my tailgate opens and closes fine but if anything pushes on it from inside the bed then the tailgate ajar warning goes on. So I feel like I am teetering right on the limit here.
- 2 days ago I had a wagon in the back with the cover and tailgate closed and when I took off from a stop I would get the warning.
- When I picked up 1yd of compost the warning was on the whole way home.
Its not my bed cover because it will do it when that's open still. But I do have a bed rug installed as well but I couldn't see a spot where that might interfere other than the bottom when it freezes during winter.
Just figured I'd ask before I grab torx bits and go monkey mode and break stuff. Thanks
