Disturbing E-mail from Dealer: :I am starting to think that maybe we should just reorder your truck."

I know Ford received a boat load of chips for all the F-150s, but i just received an email from my dealer that really ticks me off. Here is what they just mentioned to me;

"I am starting to think that maybe we should just reorder your truck.

I say that because I am hearing that they are moving new Special ordered units through faster than inventory sitting at the factories.
12 weeks is what I am hearing."

If this is true, this really ticks me off. Im waiting for 7 months now and i am hearing this from my dealer. I ordered a fully loaded Platinum and they have new Lariats coming in next week. I am so confused on Fords process and transparency on this matter! Why are they moving newly ordered

Sadly, I have to say it is about time Ford made special orders a priority. My truck was ordered dec23,2020, built March 15, 2021, and just finally shipped last Monday. With luck, I’ll get it by end of next week. Ford needs to take care of the customers it has, not just the ones who Haven’t committed to anything yet.

My dealer stated they are not taking any more orders and they will not take orders until November 2021 for the 22s.

This doesn’t appear to be the case. My first order was completely botched by my dealer and was told two weeks ago the same thing, no more 2021 orders.

I walked in to a another dealer today and spoke with Sales Manager asking the same questions. He said that was not true, and I placed an order with them today for a 21.

However, I have been lied to before.

Your first dealer may not have any more allocations for 2021s. The second one may have not used all theirs yet, so you got one. I know there are a few dealerships near me that will still take orders, but others I know have used all their slots.

I ordered my fully loaded Platinum on Nov.18th, I just got word yesterday that my truck is finally shipped, expected delivery Aug 1 till Aug 7th, that will be 9 and a half months it took for mine to finally get here. Not here yet, but checked VIN on here and ford tracker and sure looks like it's on the way, dealer also confirmed. Good luck to you, just wanted to let you know there is someone out here who waited longer than you.
