The long and highly anticipated release of the @Diode Dynamics Elite headlights has finally come. Units are being assembled and the processing of orders are being handled as we speak.
We have been fortunate enough to work with Diode's team on multiple occasions. From when these were just an idea to testing and fitment earlier this spring. To see this come to the front line finally is without a doubt a sigh of relief from all parties. We want be sure to thank the Diode team for allowing us to get the first set on the market. When these hit our doorstep late Friday afternoon, we wasted no time cranking out the install within 40 minutes. Mind you, we already had the front end taken apart in anticipation of their arrival so it sped up the process. But none the less, the long wait for these headlights were sure worth it.
Diode has released two different models of Elite headlights. First you have the standard Elite, and then you have the Elite max. Along with the headlights comes their Elite fogs which give you the desirable OEM look, but with a crisp selectable color DRL and light outputs available in both white or amber.
There are a few differences between the Elite and Elite max. But lets start with what they both have in common.

Pic 3: Diode Elite
As you can see, there is a pretty solid difference in overall output and illumination. Another nice thing about these lamps is that Diode adjusts their headlamps horizontally directly from their facility. This alone provided a slightly wider spread output over the OEM lighting. They combine this with their cornering assist light (Elite Max) which activates when you turn on your turn signal or when you begin turning. They cornering assist pod will illuminate and will gradually get brighter the more you turn and then will automatically go back off when you are driving straight again. Its a really nice feature similar to what Ford already incorporated with select trim levels, just with an added touch and better output.
We had to adjust our headlamps vertically due to the lifted suspension that we have. Diode provides and adjustment key that makes adjusting these headlights easy to do even on the fly (they have a write up on this on their website as well)
Some other nice features that these lights have include different programming modes for the DRLs, Welcome sequence, etc. You can change your DRL color with your factory light knob by following Diode's programming sequence. This is also how you can turn the welcome sequence off if desired, as well as remove the always on middle LED bar on the elite max (see our outdoor photo showing it on, and our night time photo showing it off). Please note that the middle bar will still work as a turn signal even if disabled as a DRL light.
Overall we have been super happy with these headlamps. We are currently testing the elite fogs side by side and will be providing better pictures soon. We currently have a different bumper on our build so the elite's do not mount up quite as nice as an OEM bumper. But we will still be able to show off both the white and amber fogs for those that are interested. For now, please enjoy some of the media of these headlights and we will be back with more updates!
And for anyone that is ready to snag your set, we have a promotion running over on our website right now!
Purchase any set of Diode Elite headlights, and receive a $25 Hotshot Offroad gift card. Purchase a set of Elite max, and receive a $50 HSO Gift Card. Purchase a set of Elite Fog Lights, and receive a $25 Gift Card. And if you purchase both headlights AND fog lights, we will bump you up to a $100 gift card!
On top of that, we will ship all orders for free* and there is NO sales tax! A nice little savings built in right there.
Please message us with any questions you may have and thank you to all of you who have supported us!
*Free shipping is to the lower 48 only. Please note that all orders are still considered made to order and will be processed and fulfilled directly by Diode.
**Gift cards will be sent digitally via email. If an order is cancelled and the gift card was used at any point, then the gift card amount will be taken from the refunded amount.

There are a few differences between the Elite and Elite max. But lets start with what they both have in common.
- Dual Bi-LED projectors for maximum output and intensity, providing nearly double the peak intensity of factory premium headlights
- Selectable DRL Color, Premium blade
- Sequential turn signal and welcome sequence (can be turned off as well)
- Full plug and play install
- Adaptive low beam assist. When enabled, one auxiliary pod will illuminate to add extreme width to the sides of the road, along with the low beams.
- High Beam Boost. This feature provides an extra punch down range as an auxiliary high beam; all with the flip of a switch
- Trail Light Off-Road Feature. A triple SSC2-style pod design is mounted at the bottom of the headlight. At the flip of a switch, all three pods light up to illuminate the trail ahead.
- Show Mode. Choose between four functions: Gradual, White Strobe, Amber Strobe, or Amber/White Strobe. Of course, there’s no need for extra controllers - simply toggle your off-road switch a few times to easily start the show mode from your cabin.
- Triple LED projectors for maximum output and intensity
- Selectable-color Blade DRL
- Modern welcome sequence
- Integrated sequential amber turn signal
- Optional show mode (requires Elite Max headlamp)
