Digital Rearview Mirror Question

I actually popped my rear center headrest out over the weekend since my backseat is reserved for child car seats and a dog. Looks unfinished but makes the rearview from the mirror feel a lot more open.

Did this for the same reasons. Doggo likes to look out the open window so it's easier for him too.

Thanks for checking and posting thebigdu! Actually the more I look at it the more I like it. It gives a higher perspective and will give you a partial view into the blindspot area. That could be a nice alternative to the "better" digital rearview mirror feature.

Maybe Ford will add that in future years. In fact now that I am getting a 2022 I would not be surprised to see it in 2023. That is the way it usually goes for me.

The original question was about use of the rear view mirror with a topper installed, the mirror is useless then. I am installing a Type S Solar Powered Backup Camera that clamps to the useless existing mirror.. I did not want to mess with the wiring headache. See link:

This doesn't help if you have a topper, plus it blanks out all of the other music/phone features. I am buying an aftermarket digital rear view camera mirror.
