I'm on my 3rd APIM and the software install fails at last step... center console has been dead for 2 months, no cameras, no navigation, nothing... all ford has to say is they are working on a software fix with no eta

Just curious,
Did you return your AsBuilt back to OEM before taking it in to the dealership?
I'm not suggesting that Forscan edits are why the dealership is struggling, since they struggle anyway.

Multiple APIM replacements are just statistically a red flag that the person doing the updates isn't the right person.

Ya always return to the stock forscan values before dropping off. My issue started from day 1, my truck has never received an ota update which started all this

Not receiving OTA updates isn't a rare fault, but the dead console and cameras and such are not a common condition. I'll give you that. :)

Yup, that's what they are telling me. I'm being used as the guinea pig at my dealer trying to get the software to take. And now they won't touch any of the other trucks with the ota issue. It's annoying the center stack issues are an artifact of them trying to fix the Ota issue and created more problems.

Could you please check my VIN also it has been at Crossroad ford of Apex for 5 days and they are unable to update the Bluecruise and asked me to pick up the vehicle 1FTFw1ed3mfb23739. Still no bluecruise. They tell me it has been esculsted to Ford engineering but no feedback for over one week !

Took my 2021 Limited to dealer in July for OTA recall and BlueCruise. They bricked the truck and ordered new APIM which still has not arrived. Somehow they got the truck working again 2 weeks ago and just gave it back unfixed till chip comes in. Anyone know status of APIM orders?

99.9% chance that you do not have a bad APIM.
The forum is pregnant with posts about dealerships declaring a bad APIM only to have the faulty APIM updated successfully by someone else.

Have you gotten this fixed? I am still waiting for an APIM replacement after 2 months and no ETA.

Yes it's fixed now, turned out the 4th APIM was the charm... apparently they had a bad batch of APIMS. Everything is back to normal and I've even been getting OTA updates.

They just got the APIM in and performed all updates. So far so good.

Lucky! I've been told still no ETA for my APIM replacement. How long did it take for yours to get fixed?
Mine was fairly quick cus I was up their ass on getting it fixed, after the 3rd APIM I lost all center stack functionality. In a way I was prioritized because it broke some many things. The dealership was good about it and was helpful. But I also had a case opened with ford corporate after 3rd APIM broke everything. Believe it was 2 months from 3rd APIM to 4th and fixed. Would have been quicker but for about a month they thought it was a software issue and not hardware. Once they figured out it was the wrong APIM took a few weeks to get the APIM.
