Hi all,

I got my new '24 rcsb 4x4 home yesterday, and after taking a nap I took it to the local farmer's coop and weighed it. Without me in it, with a half tank of fuel, it weighed 4500 lbs. The only option the truck came with is running boards, which don't look all that heavy.

My '22 RCSB 2.7 4x4 weighed in at 4540. That's with the step tailgate, bed mat and tonneau cover. The only lighter F-150 would be a RCSB in 2x4.

That sounds about right and is pretty good considering how heavy modern cars are. The aluminum body helps a lot.

My '88 RCLB I had way back had a curb weight of ~3900lbs, which is less than a Charger/Challenger and not much more than a Mustang. It also didn't have modern crumple zones, airbags, or other modern safety features. My '24 PowerBoost SCrew 4x4 weighs about 5500lbs empty which is only 500 more than my steel body 2011 SCab 2wd did.

Yep, trucks have definitely gotten heavier. I had a 1978 dodge d100 rclb 2wd with a /6 engine. It weighed 3700 lbs or so. My '09 rcsb 2wd hemi truck weighed 4620.
