Unlike the Ford account, I can actually provide you with useful info.
LOL True, Javi has helped many people, multiple times. Now if I could just talk him into selling me his Console work table....

I have a 2021 F150 and only the tweeters work, dealer says it is a bad DSP but apparently they are backordered with no recovery date. Handsfree, navigation directions, radio & sensors will no longer work - I assume they are still building trucks with this DSP, but cannot help fix a known issue on a customers truck? Is there any type of work around, for example installing an aftermarket amp? Would love to be able to hear navigation directions & let the family listen to music on our holiday road trip...
Any help @Ford Motor Company would be greatly appreciated!!

That makes sense. Not all speakers run through the DSP.

You may want to see if @rugedraw can look up your VIN and see if there is a firmware update available on the DSP. You would also need to get his, or someone elses Mongoose to do the update.
You could also ask Ford Service Dept\Tech if the DSP is updated. Maybe they will do it, but almost all are backlogged like crazy and not everyone of the techs are DSP\FDRS\Computer gurus....

In his case, it seems the DSP itself is fried and needs to be replaced. If that's the case, no update is going to fix that. I don't know what the DSP has to do with the other issues he is having, so he is better off letting the dealer do its thing.

Thanks for the input @rugedraw & @JJSnell. The dealer said they attempted to update the firmware but the DSP is dead and not communicating. What confuses me is, if the DSP was completely dead, why are the tweeters working - I am sure I do not fully understand what all the DSP controls, but I am assuming if one set of speakers work then the DSP is not dead & is communicating but not correctly.

Ahhh, I glanced his post and didnt see where it was actually shot.

@KTLW33 check out this site. They are the Holy Grail of finding parts. I already see some "Stereos" they are calling them.

The front tweeters and rear door speakers are powered by the ACM and not the DSP.

So I've noticed that when I'm listening to the radio and I press the button for voice commands, I get a short blast of static sound. That never used to happen. It would just go silent so I can say a command. But in the last few times I've driven the truck, it's making that sound when I press the button on the steering wheel.

Only thing that had changed was that I received the OTA update to 6.2.0 last week and now today I received 6.4.0.

Now I feel like I'm just waiting for mine to act up like other in this thread. SIGH

Thank you @JJSnell & @rugedraw - Since the DSP runs the tweeters & rear speakers, I guess it is safe to assume that replacing the stock amp with an aftermarket amp would not fix the issue, correct? If so, looks like I better start working on my singing voice, because DSPs are currently on backorder with no sign of a recovery date.

@Ford Motor Company do you have any insight on how long these will be on back order?

No it's not that easy. Many people go with an aftermarket Zen processor and then amps after that but the Zen alone is $700-$800.
My audio guy is coming out next week to try some things and we will see if it works.
I'll keep you posted.

Other way around. The ACM drives the front a-pillar tweeters and rear door speakers.
