Crazy question

Somebody's probably going to laugh at me for this but... I recently learned that our trucks are entirely made of aluminum. No big deal. I could care less. That said, today I was driving through a wind storm and my hood was buckling so much I thought that maybe it was not latched properly. Is this normal?

My F-150 hood has never fluttered in the wind, and I've yet to read or hear about it from others. Now on the aluminum hood Bronco it is known to happen on some.

Check your hood's height against the fenders -- is it low?
Press on each side of the hood, does it deflect too easy?

There are rubber stops on either side under the hood, you may try unscrewing them slightly giving the hood more pre-load.

I bang up against the speed limiter on a regular basis and my hood has never been a consideration. Solid.
