My truck has been built and awaiting shipment since Feb 21. Plenty of details/complaints about it on the 2/8 Build Week thread. Growing more frustrated with waiting for shipment, I was looking at inventory at the same dealer and a newly ordered Lariat came up. So I went to check the specs out and low and behold it's the exact same build/color minus the Tonneau Cover as mine. It has a a blend date of 3/11 which is the same date of my Delivery ETA date. What's even more coincidental is the VIN numbers...almost identical..at first I had to do a double take.

My VIN# 1FTFW1CD4MFA98482
Dealer Order VIN# 1FTFW1CD2MFA98481

My build isn't that unique... but I don't see many 4X2 PowerBoosts spec'd out that way.

You think the dealer would use it's stock allocation on a more common config like a 4X4 PowerBoost or Lariat 502a versus the 501A.

Another thing is my window sticker has been MIA on the Ford Tracker site for a good 10 days now. All this is just noise right...my truck will ship soon:unsure:?

You have to wonder what is going on at the Ford plant where two almost identical trucks get produced and one gets held up. I'm still in production and was built two weeks prior to you and I have no idea what the hold up is. Ordered in September so I'm getting a little tired of waiting.

Wow Lonestar you're back! Seems like it was just a few weeks ago I was thinking I hadn't seen you post anything since Nov 2020. Welcome Back! Then again I've been known to be delirious. ? Maybe you've been here the whole time.

No. Just recently returned. And after all this time, I'm still "sitting on the fence."

Just put another customer order (really just a configured dealer order) in this past weekend. I figured the delayed pace of deliveries means it could be around May/June to get built and sent out to California.

all the while, I still have a paid deposit down for a Rivian R1T electric truck. Been part of that future customer base for well over a year. Many others have been waiting for more than 3 years now.

Rivian is still saying (or at least hasn't "not said") that initial R1T deliveries begin in June.

So right now..... don't know what I'll actually purchase ?

Don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

Don't know much about the Rivian but I've always been concerned about how many miles electrics can go without recharging and certainly would not want to be like maybe on the way to So Cal and have to stop in Riverside coming from Vegas, have to stop to charge and taking an hour or more to recharge. I know they're getting better all the time at how far electrics can go.

I’d take it as a compliment. My father ordered a Mercury Cougar in 1994. It was the first Deep Jewel Green/Tan leather Cougar they got that year. My father had them add a tan pinstripe and gold lettering/badging. The dealership was so enamored by it, they parked it on the entrance walkway so that everyone had to walk by it. The next time my father went to the dealership, they had three more just like it on the lot. You have good taste and the dealer thinks your onto something.
