Maybe stupid question, but a coin fell in here and I can't figure out how to get it out? do I need to undo the Torx fastener on the bottom side and take it apart?

Unless it's a 1933 Gold Double Eagle, I would just forget about it.

That is the hinge for the jockey box, you did try and open it right? It looks like it can't really go far and might slide around enabling you to get at it...? If I half open it and put my finger back there, there's not really that much realestate for it to get to. There is also a screw holding it on, but don't know if I'd bother unless it was being noisy or was that Gold Eagle

Yeah so the problem is that it seems like there are multiple coins in there - I think my kids have been dropping them in there. They rattle around and id like to get them out. Can the leather part of the lid be removed? is it as simple are removing the one Torx head screw on the underside? Trying to avoid breaking a bunch of clips...

A wire coat hanger with a 90* bend to hook and hold the coin as you pull it up. You could even flatten the bent end a little to prevent the coin from rolling off the round edge.

I would try it. Maybe there's a plate off the hinge that the lid slides onto. One screw can't go that badly? right?
