Coilover overkill?

With coilovers designed and valved for aggressive driving and more unsprung weight at the corners, would a set-up using lighter -than-stock wheels and tires benefit from coilovers, or would the oem shocks suffice?

For example, I do 99% of my driving on asphalt. I was planning on running a nitto 275/65 R20 on light wheels for a total of 76lbs per corner.

Planning on a 2.5 inch level. Would a simple puck lift handle this well? Or maybe some 5100s ? I’d like to run some quality coilovers, but not if I can’t justify the expense.

Just think about what your really after and if it’s worth the money to upgrade to coilovers vs a spacer

I just installed a Fox 2.0 package on my truck. Like mentioned the comfort factor changes mostly when adding tires. I installed the Venomrex 601 20" wheels and 275/65R/20 Toyo AT3's. Thats when the ride changed the most. My stock wheel setup weighed 56lbs. My new setup weighs 86lbs. I would go with the coilover setup if you can justify the cost.
