COBB Front Mount

Hey guys. Anyone else install the Cobb front mount?! I’m installing mine now and Cobb provides a house that goes from the factory intake pipe, to your factory bypass valve. Anyways, I’m deleting my bypass valve as I picked up a turbosmart blow off. I’m wondering if anyone plugged their intake pipe instead of putting their supplied pipe on and then sticking a plug into that.

I look forward to letting you guys know how I like it, fit, finish, and performance. Most the info I can find on this intercooler being installed is for raptor model trucks.

Well…

The “powdercoating” on the intercooler seems kinda crappy for being a $1500 (+/-) intercooler.

Whatever, I can address that later. Anyways, hopefully it performs well.

I also bought the tuner. I sent my ECU to them on Tuesday night and had it back to my house on Thursday morning. (From NJ to TX).

Average 22.8mpg around town on the Cobb supplies “cookie cutter” stage 2 performance 93 tune with performance trans tune. Truck feels like a whole new animal. Can’t wait to get real tunes soon!
