And because we are talking money for these trucks, since when does a pickup truck cost $70K+? This is the craziest thing ever. I know they are technology laden, leather covered, hot rods, but dang, 70grrr? They will be be great!

Half again as much as I paid for my first house. I've been fortunate enough to be able to drive nice trucks for the last 20 years. My father always said "You don't drive trucks, those things are luxury 4WD vehicles" he was right.

Oh I think we are going to get a bunch of trucks delivered before us so more discussion about when and where and then pics. Also mine has to make it to california which I have heard could easily take a month. I’ve heard that it goes through oregon for some reason. So I will hope that it doesn’t take that long but it’s just a safe guess. And you and I can just talk back and forth?

Once mine gets delivered I plan on driving it quite a bit. That is if it shows up before I get too old and have my drivers license revoked lol

Unfortunately my garage isn’t long enough to fit my truck in it, so she’ll have to brave the PNW weather. Seriously considering a ceramic coating. Anyone have an opinion on it?

This is the first brand new vehicle (beside motorcycles which are exponentially cheaper) I’ve bought myself, so I felt the 70k+ price tag was a deal especially since I passed on the raptor because I wanted more towing capability. But if the 5 years ago Chuck saw the price tag on this, he’d have a heart attack

I've been thinking about ceramic coating also. I don't want to attempt it myself so I will hire it done. The detail shop at my dealer says they do it. I left a voicemail a couple months back asking them to get in touch with me. Maybe I should not have mentioned I am waiting for my 22 KR to arrive and have it done. The person probably passed it off to their yet to be born great grand son.

Oh yeah I am definitely not about to do it myself either. I need things like that done right and I don’t do any project without a beer in my hand and a glass of whiskey nearby so that doesn’t lend well to doing things precisely ?

Built since Dec 7th. Just got shipment delayed email to 12/23 to 12/29. My dealer is 15 mins from the DTP. I offered Ford that I would pick it up and drop it off at the dealer, they declined. ?

My issue is the Virginia sun. No garage kept for this truck so it bakes when the sun shines. I tried everything I could do with my 2009 Tacoma to prevent the clear coat baking but in the end, the sun was too much for my efforts and clear coat is now flaking.

With this truck I am going with PPF. I am doing a full front and roof. This will be used as a "sacrificial layer" to bake in the UV and absorb it before it gets to the clear coat. I will probably replace the PPF after 7 or 8 years, but it will take the UV punishment, not the trucks paint and clear.
