Chip hold My22 & My23

Just to muddy the water with the “corporate contacts”, I’ve been in touch with their folks for over a month now. I have a “case” open like many others and have yet to see any resolve or concrete info. I’m told special teams are looking into it but never get an answer from those teams. Those that do see movement after contacting appears completely coincidental.

Blended 1/19, Built 3/3. No chip holds, on plant hold (as in it grew roots or melted onto the parking lot). 188 days built and rapidly approaching 1 year since order… ymmv.

I didn't think anyone was left from the January holds. My built date was 1/8, and sat on plant hold until late July when it finally shipped... just to get to the dealer with missing parts! I'm STILL waiting for them to get the parts, which are backordered. Make things worse, I sold my car when it was shipped thinking I was home free. It's a gift that keeps giving. I am also 2 weeks out from my 1 year anniversary.

Did you get this ETA from chat, and did they specify what exactly the date was for (delivery, built status, etc)? I was able to confirm with my emails that the "ETA" they give (at least for me) is the next target time period for a status update, which was my suspicion as none of our ETAs have really meant delivery lately. So if you're on a chip hold and they give you this "ETA of Oct 2-8" it could also mean that this is when they expect you to be off chip hold. This lack of transparency and misguidance is what my main issue has been.

This is my issue with the tracking system right now. You've pushed people to order their vehicles, then keep them in the dark with a lack of details. There's no reason that anyone affected by the chip hold shouldn't have received an email stating that.

It seems like there's a clear lack of uniformity between what vehicle visibility says and what us, the consumers have. They need to be better aligned.

Congrats! Using your timeline as a guideline - with my truck's new BUILT status (today) that should put mine at ETA to Dealer in Beacon, NY - 22-29 September. I sure hope so. Congrats again! Hope you enjoy your new truck, good luck with it.

Just checked FORD ORDER TRACKING (it's been more timely than ordertrack.app lately) and got good news. Checked email and Ford was right there with the email too! Yahoo!

BUILT +3d then SHIPPED. That's Great! Things are now moving right along it seems. Just hope the transportation leg goes smoothly. Best of luck to everyone else!

I checked on line... do a search of "F-150s sent to Flat rock... back to DTP" and you'll see this was happening in 2021 - Ford was making use of labor downtime at FR to work on the DTP F-150 completion backlog. Was big to do in the press questioning whether they using non-union labor etc...
