So if this is the last week of MY22 F150s at DTP and MY23 starts next Tuesday, does that mean that our F150s sitting in Dearborn need to be run back through the line and finished this week. It is my understanding that the trucks missing IP clusters/720 modules and other chips have to be sent back through the line to be finished and checked? Will they run MY22s back through the line once MY23 production starts?

(10/12/2022 - 2022MY Balance Out Date (DTP) / (10/18/2022 - 2023MY Job #1 Date (DTP)
I would hope so but who the hell knows

It doesn't go thru the full assembly line, my understanding is that it goes thru only last part of the line for final verification if truck needs IP clusters, if it's holding for badges then no need to come back to the plant.

It's been holding steady between 710-720 trucks for the past week it seems. Looks like they built one truck today.

I was really hoping that the badge issue would start pushing the number down, and the lots would start to thin out. So far, that hasn't happened.

I'm convinced at this point that my truck is sitting, buried in the corner of some lot, with hundreds of trucks blocking it in. If my next update isn't this month, I'll be shopping on the lot.
I'm assuming my truck is in the same situation, stuck deep in the shit with truck surrounding it. A few weeks ago when things started moving, I started to get a small bit of hope that Id see my truck soon. Unfortunately, a swift kick in the nuts by Ford and that small bit of hope I gained went straight down the toilet. There was a point where I was checking the tracker daily over the last couple of months hoping for a surprise. Unfortunately that's now changed and my I now have a IDGAF attitude. This will probably be the last Ford I buy as the lack of transparency and zero feedback has ruined the positive feelings I once had for the company. Note; I was a die hard GM guy before switching over to Ford. I switched to Ford as the product quality felt significantly better compared to the 2019-2020 Denali trucks and the dealer experience gave me the sense that Ford cared about their customers. These last two years has been outstanding and I've grown fond of my local dealership and know I can trust them. This is the reason why I decided to stay loyal and lease another Ford. Well....this rollercoaster ride from hell has certainly chanced my mind and I definitely will be looking at alternative options once this new lease is up. Hopefully by then things have settled down.

I'm almost there. As someone who grew up in a Ford family,it's really hard to support them during this latest situation. This is the 3rd Ford vehicle I've personally ordered, and by far, the most f-ed up.

I get sick and tired of seeing people with vehicles sitting for half the time getting pulled. Over the last week, there's been several Lariat PBs that have been sitting for less time getting shipped. That is inexcusable, IMO. I'm not mad at the guys getting their trucks, but rather how inconsistent and sporadic the process is.

Two month anniversary of sitting in a lot waiting to be finished.

502A PB.
8/10 blend date.
Still at 954 modules.
I am in the same boat with the same number of modules. I did, however, receive a notification that my Ford Pass activation request was denied by the user over the weekend. I cant say for sure if that is an indication that maybe theyre working on it or if it timed out.

I've noticed that majority of the trucks moving are Lariats with maybe a couple higher trims sprinkled in here and there. I haven't seen much movement on the higher trim levels over the course of these last two months which is really discouraging.

This would make a lot of sense seeing that most of our times given by chat are now all the 12th-18th. Give them time to finish all the remaining '22s laying around in that week. At least that's what Im going to hope

I don't know, but back through THE LINE? I say no. Back through a line of sorts, probably yes. I'm thinking the process is like that of a Shelby. The truck goes into a shop and work is performed, but it doesn't go through the birth canal a second time. But what do I know? I only slept in a Holiday Inn last night. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I finally had movement last night after 75 days in production. Now I get to wait for shipping.

They have to reintroduce at some point. Lots of stations and traceability for things that occur after cluster installation. Plus, there's end of line calibration and validations that needs to be performed.

If they did this in a retrofit capacity off site, it would take even longer. Plus, wouldn't you want to know your vehicle went through all the same processes as a truck that wasn't impacted by the chip hold? From a quality point of view, it's critical that it follows as similar a sequence as a "normal" build does.

I think they only run it through the pre-delivery part of the line that does all of the checks, alignments and other systems checks before it goes to shipping. I would like to think there is a processes and they are not slapping chips and parts on trucks in the back of some storage lot on the other side of town.

They do not run them back through the line. I know for a fact from GPS data from my truck and from family that work at the DTP. Once the truck leaves the factory it gets completed outside of the plant. Any truck taken to Flat Rock is completed in Flat Rock. This is further backed up by the article posted on a thread here (can't find it) which shows the Union was mad about a third party finishing trucks at the Flat Rock facility. The Mustang plant is across the street and union employees lost access to buildings at the Flat Rock site.

My truck was updated and reset (when I lost FordPass access) before it was shipped to Melvindale, MI for railcar shipping. The article also notes Ford installed rollers and other equipment at the Flat Rock facility used to finish F-150s. They can calibrate things and load software as needed.
