Catalytic converter shield powerboost

Any advice on installing a catalytic converter shield on a powerboost?

I bought a full set of RCI skid plates, including the cat shields. Super sturdy and well made. You could order the pieces separately

FX4 doesn't give any catalytic (cat) shield protection. You can get the steel Raptor skid plate and install it with a little adjustment on the passenger side coolant tubes front bracket. Top pic is the FX4 and bottom one is the steel raptor one. I have 21 PB and it worked great, not sure about 2024 PB. This is a much cheaper option. $150. ish.

I installed the complete skid plate kit including the cat shield from Talons Garage after quite a bit of research I think that they are the best. I have the FX4 package as well and I did not like the protection it gave and it has no cat protection.

Here’s a couple pics of my RCI Skids, with the cat converter shields attached to each side. If I were to do it again, I’d splurge for the aluminum for weight savings but otherwise love the product.

Here is the aluminum Talon skid plate 3 piece kit on my 2024 KR PB, perfect fit, no drill required.

I’ve had full skids in trucks before. They often squeaked and groaned as the chassis flexed. Any issues of this with the Talon set?
