CarPlay message notification

I used to get text message notifications on my screen when I was not on the CarPlay screen, mainly when I was on the radio screen. But since my IPhone updated to IS18 I don’t get them unless I’m on the CarPlay screen. Checked my phone settings, messages, notifications and can’t find anything off. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

On your iPhone go to…

Settings
Notifications
Messages > then scroll down to “Show in CarPlay”.

Even if it’s on already, toggle off. Restart your phone, then go back and toggle it back on. Restart your truck and see if that works.

I've had the same issue...no message notifications ever since I got a new iphone 14. The iphone I had previously had no issues communicating with the truck

Did anyone have success getting this fixed? I’m pretty frustrated I can’t get my iPhone messages to popup when I’m driving..
