I have been trying to get my Blue Cruise installed on my truck since March 24th 2022. The dealer cannot get it even installed. I have taken it every month since March. It has been escalated to their TAC office and it still cannot be loaded. Each time they tell me its working great and it was test drove by the tech and the service director and tell me its working. When I go to pick it up the software is not even on the truck. The dealer lies about it every time.

Is anyone else having issues getting Blue Cruise installed on their truck? I purchased the prep package when I ordered it.

I would check out the OTA / Update are of the forum, it may cost you, but you may have a way to bypass the dealer.
ECU module programming guide using FDRS | F150gen14.com -- 2021+ Ford F-150, Lightning EV, Raptor Forum (14th Gen) | Owners, News, Discussions

@Jesse-Infotainment, @Snakebitten and others in that thread are amazing sources of valuable information.
Thanks for your response. I have been thanking about doing this. I am worried about voiding my warranty. If they don't get it fixed today I think I am going to try this.

Using FDRS is very similar to the software the techs use. If you apply updates to the vehicle from Ford using tools that the Ford techs are using, I don't see how they would even know (for one) or care, if it was done like they would do it.

Sounds like (based on threads) - if you use reputable hardware to connect to your vehicle, it's a sure-shot!

FDRS is the exact software that Ford "Factory Trained" technicians use at the dealership. It's Ford, the manufacturer's, supplied software. A Motorcraft product, literally.

You simply purchase the license for using it. You can create an account and purchase it in 2-day terms, monthly, or annually.

However, there are no secrets in FDRS. It connects to the Ford cloud and is VIN centric. What I mean by that is anything done or attempted to be done to your VIN is stored in the cloud database. You could purchase a 2day license for $50 and login, look up your VIN, and you can not only see what updates are available for your truck, but you would also see the logs for any FDRS sessions that your truck has ever experienced. In other words, you will see EXACTLY what the dealership has done, down to the mouse clicks, VS what they tell you they have done. All timestamped to the minute.

You can witness their failed attempts as well. You wouldn't believe how many failures to apply an update are logged with the evidence of the battery voltage being too low! It's right there in black and white!

Oh the irony. Lol
The professional won't READ the screen on the computer.
The amateur in his driveway actually DOES read it, keeps his truck on a recommended battery charger (see thread), and successfully updates the module.

Meanwhile the dealership declared the APIM module faulty and orders a replacement, which is on nationwide backorder.

The customer never returns for the replacement APIM because his truck is uptodate and functioning perfect.

It's a crazy world. :)

Now if one didn't have take out a 2nd mortgage to get the FDRS license and associated cables.

Actually, your email or user ID is in the last column of everything you do once logged in. For that matter usually there is too or its blank.

Note that I was mentioning what you could do spending $50 only. No cable and not even hooking up to your OBD.

I was really replying to the post concerning warranty concerns and wondering what the dealership has actually been doing.

You mentioned this below is what I’m referring to. Anyone logging into your Vin can see the history. It shows who performed the function.

“Ford using tools that the Ford techs are using, I don't see how they would even know (for one) or care……”
