Canadian order, when should I expect the first communication.

I'm sorry if this answered somewhere but didn't find it.

I submitted an order with my dealer about 2 weeks ago. I of course don't expect a lot of progress but I was wondering when I should at least receive the 'order accepted' email? Thanks.

You know I dont know how other people have gotten emails from ford I have not got a single one in six months. I have had to dig the information myself and it sucks. I wish the emails recipients would say how they get them, maybe the dealer sets it up. I asked chat if they could and they said no

We don't get emails from Ford in Canada - at least I didn't, you just have to stay in contact with your dealer, once you have a VIN (took me 4 months to get my VIN), then you can track the progress yourself, that is what I did.

thanks, yeah I talked to the dealer and pretty much what he said that we don't get emails in Canada, the dealer gets emailed. It's good to hear confirmation other than from the dealer.

Not yet, I think it is in the Calgary Train Yard.
I've started stalking them to see if I can see it - yes I'm sad!!
There are not many Rapid Reds with the Sport Package, Tow Mirrors and Extended Running boards - but no luck yet

I've started to become obsessive in this home stretch, I'm almost at 9 months waiting now and the official eta is between today-21st September, so I'm also waiting for the phone call from Cam Clark (Dealer)let me know it is there!!

haha, I'm in Airdrie so I am always scoping their yard. Funny enough I ordered the same colour, also with tow mirrors and sport package but fixed running boards. Hopefully I'll catch a glimpse of yours as it will look pretty much the same as mine.

I have the same colour on my F350 Tremor, I'm downsizing to a powerboost.

I waited 8 months almost to the day, and checking the tracker through this and other forums, I knew my truck had arrived before my sales guy did

I would email them every 2-4 weeks and ask if a vin is issued yet

Well just to update this thread...

I was surprised to get my vin texted to me this morning. So for me the first communication I received was the vin. Ordered Aug-31
