Im in Ontario and I ordered a 303a Powerboost in mid june. I haven't even recieved a VIN yet. I ask my sales guy weekly and he justs says to keep waiting. I've been reading that 2024 production is now closed and they are only building 2025MY. Is there any chance I get my truck or is it likely canceled already?

I could be completely incorrect, but I believe that the final date for 2024 F150 orders to be scheduled for production was September 5, 2024.

If your order has not been assigned both a VIN and a Scheduled Week (for production), then I do not believe that it will actually be built.

My F150 order was not scheduled until the final day (Sept. 5/24).

Given the current port workers strike in the USA (from Maine to Texas), I am having some doubt that my F150 order will actually be built.

Employee pricing is on now. Why not a Lariat that’s in stock somewhere? Must be a crap ton of dealers around your area.

Employee pricing ended on September 30 - at least in Canada - not certain about the USA.

I have been notified by the dealer that the order wont be produced and i have to start over.

I guess my question is this,
If i ordered the vehicle and the vehicle was ready for pickup and I said I didnt want it, wouldnt they keep my deposit? If that is the case, why cant I hold them to the contract? Why wont they role into a 2025 or at least offer some significant incentive?

They don't keep the deposit because of the way Ford allocates trucks. You deciding not to buy a truck you've ordered means they have an extra truck to sell in their inventory.

If I recall correctly (someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong), Ford allocates order slots to dealers based on how much inventory they moved the previous year. So your rural Ford dealers who exclusively sell F-series trucks will get more of an allocation than your city dealers who don't sell as many trucks.

The final vehicle sale contract is signed when you pick up the truck - I'm not sure anything else before that is enforceable under OMVIC rules. Also, (I'm not saying this is right) what incentive do they have to compensate you? Especially if they're one of the crappier Toronto dealers?
