Can Tailgate with Step be ordered from dealer?

My truck didn't come with the bed utility package. I'm old. I wish I had that step.

If I wasn't worried about price, can the tailgate with the step be ordered complete from the dealership?

Not sure about the dealer but ebay has some around $2000 and you would have tonswap your camera over. I was thinking the same thing this past weekend as mine didnt come with a step either so i went to harbor freight and bought a 2 step step ladder. Works good for me. My plan is some molle panels on tailgate to strap ladder to.

On my 2009 F250, I sold the step to someone who wanted one. Everything was there to bolt it up. Just needed the different plastics, etc. I'm assuming the same with yours.

My understanding is the tailgate is specific to the step, you can't just fit the step into a non-step gate. If you buy a new complete unit you'll have to have it painted too. I like mine and use it often. Very happy that my truck came with it.

Maybe in a year or so I'll find someone who has it in the same color and just offer them cash to switch tailgates... Wonder is it would be as easy as just swapping

I should be an easy swap with the proper tailgate. The truck and hinges are all the same.

What color is your truck? Look at complete tailgates on Ebay.

No. Different tailgate shell assembly (at least on Gen 14), not adaptable.

You could also try something like this. Cheaper option and if it doesnt work for you, it is no big loss.

Yes. It kicks out to the side of the tailgate. Easy to step up on the amp step and then on the the extended tailgate. That said, I don't think it can be mounted if you have dual exhaust.
