CAI for Powerboost?

Hello my fello F-150 friends,

I am looking for someone who has bought a CAI for their Powerboost (21-23) is it worth the buy? Any suggestions? Any noticeable differences? Can you feel the extra hp or gain any extra mpg? Sound doesn’t matter to me, purely looking for the performance side.

cold air intake. So replacing the filter box and tube to the manifold in an attempt to increase airflow to the engine at lower temperatures

You have two low inertia turbo’s, the laws of thermodynamics suggest that it’s better to lower the temperature on the high pressure side of the turbo rather than the lower side, that is, rather spend the money on a better intercooler if that’s your goal. Personally, I’d rather spend the cash on some red stickers, they made my truck super duper fast.

I've done several mods to my rig, tires, lift, tune, airbox, skid plates, etc.

Anyways, I felt like the AFE Momentum air box was the best value of all of them. It made a notable improvement in power in the upper rpm range, it has no downsides or warranty risks, it improved mpg .5 & it can be sold off easily recouping about half my money if I ever trade the truck in.

The stock air intake inlet on these trucks is documented by Cobb to collapse under high boost restricting air flow. The AFE one is VERY rigid and well built.
