Man....
My truck has been in the shop for two months and I FINALLY had the approval for a buy back. The RAV agent told me all they do is Reimbursement and not replace. She got a little defensive when I asked about the substitution of collateral. She then stated that it was a 8 to 12 week process and it is not easy since I have to find a dealer that would be willing to do the swap.
I told her I already had a dealer willing to do it and I have already picked out my new truck. She then stated that she will begin the process and that the Sales Manager needed to reach out to her and that she couldn't email him. This dealership is very kind to me and as a gesture of good faith I even purchased my wife a brand new Bronco for her birthday.
Why would they be so defensive on just letting me pay the difference and keep my 1.9 percent interest rate? Like i told her, I would have rather kept my truck but I refuse to get screwed with having to pay a higher interest now. She seems unhappy to do the process for the substitution of collateral and I am kind of upset that initially she stated that they cant do it until I told her I already found a dealership willing to work it.
Anyone dealing with this stuff currently? Im just looking for some advice, support, whatever to ease my mind. My summer is already ruined with not being able to tow the family camper and take our vacations.
