I know they don't offer shipping as part of the deal, but several people have had it done, so it's obviously possible. Most people (myself included) take a one way flight to Iowa and enjoy a nice scenic roadtrip home in the new pickup.

That’s what I would probably do also. Here in Texas we have sales tax of 6.025%. Do you have to pay a sales tax in Iowa when purchasing?

Sales tax is paid at point of title/registration, so it won't matter where you buy from. @fatBatman did a fantastic write-up of the process with sales tax and his experience at Granger on here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

I live in the DFW area and just went through this whole process.

When I arrived to pick up my truck, I paid Granger for the truck, $180 for documentation fee, $45 for Iowa transfer tag/title, and the amount of tax for Texas (6.25%). Granger says in about 7-15 days they will send you a UPS overnight package with the necessary paperwork to take to your local DMV along with a check for your taxes that you already paid made out to your tax collector for your county (my UPS package showed up in about a week after purchasing). I took the whole UPS package down to the DMV because it had everything in it. At the DMV, I still had to pay for the license plates and the title transfer fee (because it is technically a transferred title from Iowa to Texas). Granger only collected my tax.
Prior to going to the DMV though, I had to get the state inspection done. New trucks bought at a local dealership in Texas are exempt from this for 2 years but transferred trucks, even new ones, are not exempt. I had to pay $7.00 at a local garage to get my new truck in the system and get that vital piece of paper (the inspection) to take to the DMV.
All said and done, It was completely painless and aside from the $7 state inspection, it cost me less than $50 at the DMV for the title transfer and license plates after I gave them the check from Granger for the taxes (that they collected from me when I picked up the truck).

As long as Granger continues to offer these great deals on all of their Ford models, I will be a forever customer and never buy from anywhere else.

I went to EVERY dealer in person in the DFW area with my quote from Granger (prior to putting down my deposit) and asked if they'd match. Prosper Ford's manager was visibly angry and looked like he wanted to punch me. Bob Tomes, Randall Reed, AutoNation, Grapevine, and Sam Pack all said "there's a catch. No dealer would do this or sell it for that price. There's a hidden fee in there, you'll see."
The dealers here, like most dealers are happy with the old style of haggle for the most money. The salesmen don't care either because they come and go on dealers lots all the time like a revolving door. There is no loyalty from dealerships. Knowing that, I am loyal to my money and do my very best to keep as much of it in my pocket as I can. The typical dealers job is to take as much from my pocket as they can. Granger's deal model is different. Ever since I have bought from them, I have been very vocal on Facebook (more than I ever have about anything) and here too.

Secretly, I quietly judge those that have been told about Granger's deal but still choose to get ripped off by their local dealers. Although, now that I've said that, it's not a secret and it's not very quiet anymore.

If you do make the road trip back from Granger though, you will pass through Muskogee, OK. Do not, for the love of your own life, stop at Hamlin's "El Toro" Mexican Restaurant. I've had better Mexican food from a Taco Bell in the ghetto of Washington DC.

I was going to order from Granger but spoke with Chip recently who said to expect a 6 month wait if placing an order now. Luckily, I found a local dealer ordered truck similar to what I would have ordered that had a 4/29 build week. Ford Tracker showed it in production and built on 5/1/24. Spoke to Ford via chat and they said its just awaiting shipment from Michigan with an estimated delivery to the dealer of 5/15 -5/21.

I haven't committed to the truck yet so we haven't hammered out the details. I'm just tracking the truck. Once I know there are no delays, I'll get a better idea on price.

They are all location dependent so I'm not sure. I know there's $1,750 cash back on the Ford website for me right now, depending on how you finance or purchase it. Only exclusions are Tremor's and Lightnings
