Hi everyone
I was having this rattling noise coming from rear left tire area since few weeks.
This morning had a low tire pressure in same tire so took the tire out for checking any nail.
Upon taking out the wheel, found the rotor bolt sheared off. And perhaps it was just stuck in that area so made rattling noise when driving. Please see pics of the sheared bolt .
Took out the rear right wheel to see what it should look like and see attached photo of that.
Truck is 2022 XLT and has 23,800 miles and is under warranty.
Does this look like a warranty item ?
Also what could hv caused it ? And can I drive it still for few days until I can visit the dealership?
Any suggestions.. thanks for helping

And while you're at it, have the dealer update your ownership contact data for your VIN in Ford's database so you'll get recall notices.

They’ve sent me the recall notice for the electronic parking brake like 10 times and I keep throwing in the trash :ROFLMAO: . I wasn’t giving the dealer my truck for 4-5 days for a 38 second fix so I just zip tied and added some wire loom protection. Hopefully the dealer is fast, it’s become almost unbearable to try and get any service these days. Has driven me to fix my own stuff and skip warranty.

Yes. I called the dealer too and they said they will keep the truck for a week before they order and get the parts and fix it back. I called another dealer and they said they will look at it , get some details and order the part and then call me once part arrives to fix it. The 2nd dealer sounded better so I am planning to go there this afternoon.
But I totally understand how dealers try to stretch the fix.
Hope its resolved soon though.
Thank you all for advise and guidance.

Smart move. I'd guess that 1 week the 1st dealer claimed would quickly turn into 2 or 3 weeks.

Ford originally said they would have a fix by Q2 of this year but the recall letter I received in June said, "The final repair and parts are anticipated to be available 1st Quarter of 2025."

They'll fix it and replace parts but recall will remain open until Ford figures out at actual fix.

I had my axle bolt shear off too.. I had an appointment set for a week from now but today I said F it. I drilled out the center and took and easy out to the rest of the bolt. Next picked up a Grade 10.9 M12x40mm 1.75 bolt. Applied some Loctite and torqued it down to 90ft-lbs. Hoping it gets me through till the full fix is in.
