I might OCD, but I swear I haven’t noticed this and only does it at certain speeds. When you go to tap into the brake it makes a clicking noise then when you release it does too. Doesn’t do it everytime, you can almost hear it through dash or the brake area obviously. Maybe I haven’t noticed it cause I have music up but I swear it hasn’t done that before.

Any ideas or is that normal?

I'll sometimes get a single click, never back to back though like you demonstrate.

Maybe it's like high grocery prices. You pay them long enough it just feels like it's normal. In your gut, you know better though ?

Could it be related to the shifter? Meaning that the brake has to be pressed, for the shifter to be "unlocked". Maybe try getting out, pressing the brake with your hand and listen careful to isolate where it might be coming from.

Just a thought.

Mine always sounds like it's coming right above my foot on the brake, as in right under the dash.

It only does it in motion when slight depression is applied to brake and it’s random too doesn’t seem to do it at all times either

I can’t listen to your videos right now but my truck does a single click with every brake press any time above, I think, 16mph.

Below 16mph there is no click. Above, always.

If I pump the brake pedal I get a click with every press.

Had it at the dealership and they had me take another powerboost for a test drive off the lot and it did the exact same thing, same speeds, same noise etc.

I don’t mind so much if I know it is normal but in radar cruise mode in heavy traffic it clicks a lot and that can get annoying. But if normal and to design I might not like it but I can accept it.

If this is what you have I think it is 100% normal.

That sounds about right, thanks for the information. Listen to the videos and respond back if you can and let me know if it is the same, thanks!

OK finally had a chance to listen to the videos. The 2nd one is very clear to me and yes that is the exact clicking on mine.

I'd say if under 16mph or so and the clicking stops then you probably will know it is normal.

Ok thanks, I’ll have to check speeds. I wonder what does mph have to do with it to make it do that in specific ranges.

My 2023 XLT does the exact same thing. My 2019 XLT did not. Even though it seems normal, I wish there was a way to fix or mute it.
