Has anyone had any issues getting their truck out of brake maintenance mode? I wasn't able to get it in via the hold button/accelerator/key off/key on way but I was able to via for Forscan. Now I can't get it out of maintenance mode via forscan or button way. In forscan it gets to 9% and says interrupted and various warnings pop up on the driver's instrument panel. Advanctrac, collision assist and every MIL like a Christmas tree. I didn't force anything while doing the rear pads and mechanically it went as smooth as could have gone.

I have a Ford notification at work about this, and if I remember correctly something has changed recently regarding exiting "brake service mode" I copy you on it tomorrow. In the mean time take a look at this video and see if it will help you. ?

I'll go try that now. You would think Forscan would make that unnecessary though

Yup, I agree forscan should do it but if Ford changed something recently forscan may not be able to carry out the procedure properly until it updated.

Did you get it fixed? Same thing just happened to me. It wouldn't go in using the buttons but forscan worked. Now trying to exit using forscan and it gets stuck at 12% and says interrupted. Tried a second time and got 9%. The truck has been in low battery mode recently. I've also had a low DEF message upon AC turn on (cause it has low DEF). I wonder if the warnings have an effect on getting it back out of brake maintenance. Hope someone can help.

Big Dog Daddy sent me this document for getting in/out of maintenance mode:

The factory service manual has the following instructions (I have not compared the two)

Oh no. That's not an option for me. I've got to get it sorted asap. I'm charging the battery right now with a portable charger so we'll see if that helps.

Thanks, I've seen that. Those steps did not work to get it into brake maintenance mode nor do they work to get it out. Forscan was the only thing that worked. Just not to get it out now.

Alright so I idled for 10 minutes and got the truck up to 12.6v once I turned it off. Reconnected to Forscan and let it do a new read.

Tried to exit B.M.M. and once again got "service procedure interrupted".

Tried using the accelerator and EPB method it did not work. Tried that a few times.

One thing I noticed is that a DTC in IPMA comes up after the "service procedure error". I cleared that and another in PSCM, reconnected and tried again. Only the IPMA comes back up. Kept trying various things till 12.2v at which point I took this screen shot and gave up.

What can I do? Is low voltage still the problem (yes it says ECU power supply 11.8 v here but it would have been higher when I tried at 12.6)

Thanks. That's the exact procedure I've used with no luck. I guess I'll start looking around at wiring. Question for those familiar with forscan - if it's a voltage problem, can I try to exit brake service mode with the engine running? Or is that a bad idea.

Just wondering if this has been fixed or the correct procedure has been released?
