Hello all,
I have a 2022 with the 3.5 Ecoboost (55,000miles) that is having boost oscillation issues. I attached a video of what it is doing, it’s not the best video but it was all I could get. A lot of times it is significantly worse than the video shows so much so that it feels like you’re stepping on and off the throttle. It will only do this under light acceleration going up a hill, then once you crest the top and some load is let off the motor it will do this. If you give it any throttle or let off at all it will immediately stop. If you put it in any other driving mode it won’t do it at all.
I have brought the truck to the dealer twice for the issue now and has been there a total of two months. I’ve test drove with techs to collect data multiple times. They continue to say there’s nothing wrong and we can’t find anything. I was persistent that there was a problem and they reluctantly agreed to try to change the boost pressure relief valve which as you might guess did nothing. At this point they are essentially refusing to do anything and I have had little to no luck contacting Ford themselves.
I’m hoping someone has had this issue or has any ideas because I’ve had it with the dealer. I would like this to be fixed before my power train warranty is up.
Thanks
