hi!

the wiring for the homelink visor is the exact same for the standard visor; just unplug and plug. It was about $400 at my dealer but I used FordPass points to buy it.

also; I attached part of the window sticker to compare how the truck was equipped (in case you have any other questions).

I ordered the 500A, so I don't have the universal garage door opener either. Kinda wish I did, but not sure it's worth $400. Any advantage to the HomeLink opener instead of just using the provided, clip-on garage door openers?

This is my new '21 500A FX4 (that I've slowly been changing into my perfect truck).

So far I've:
Removed the Air Dam (It kept hanging and I didn't like it being low on the highway for dodging tires and animals)
Swapped the wiper blades for Bosch Icon 22As
Replaced the Windshield (it was cracked when I bought it, dealer installed replacement)
Installed a spray-in bedliner (dealer installed for $250)
Installed the factory garage opener visor (I tried a couple of clip on remotes from amazon, non would pair with our apartment gate)
Installed my Garmin Mini Dash Cam
Installed the AutoStop Eliminator
Disabled the Double Horn Honk and Start/Stop Prompt via ForScan
Rubber coated the base of the antenna (easier to remove for car washes)
Had the front windows tinted with Xpel Prime

Maybe that's it... seems like there's more.

It came from the factory with:
3.5L EcoBoost (not the powerboost)
2kw Pro Power Onboard
B&O (Non-Unleashed)
Power Tailgate with Work Surface
360 degree camera package
Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 (so not quite the full driving tech but more than I need)

And in the best color of all... AMB.
Also just ordered a 500A. Considering changing the build. If you had to do over again, would you upgrade to 501A? Concerned about how music/Siri sounds with the 500A stock speakers instead of the 501A upgraded speaker system.

Can't wait to be part of the Lariat F-150 club! Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas.

You can option the upgraded stereo as a standalone on 500a. 500a saved me about $1k for not getting a garage opener on my powerboost.

Ordered a 500A SCrew 4x4 PowerBoost w/ Trailer Tow package. 501A just seemed like a big price increase for little return. Universal garage opener is nice, but $400 nice? Not sure. Curious if the speakers are worth $600 extra.

I drove a 2021 STX for a month. Base speakers are actually pretty good for what they are - also helped by the quietness of the interior, but I wanted HD radio, and to not have to open up the doors on my brand new truck. The B&O sounds pretty good on most genres if you adjust the EQ a bit.

I thought the radio was the same on 500A/501A/502A? I thought only the speakers & subwoofer changed.

You need to get one of the B&O systems to get hd radio.

Pulled out the options sheets; you’re correct -need to upgrade the system to get HDRadio. For me, the speakers & HD Radio aren’t worth another $600. Apple Music via CarPlay is our go to radio option.
