Blue Cruise Stopped working all the Sudden?

Idk if relevant, but my late 2021 Tremor’s BC hasn’t worked in two weeks since an update.
VIN: 1FTEW1E85MFC89081

The dealer played dumb so idk the best way to troubleshoot.

Easy fix for you. Gateway update needs to be done. The Gateway OTA as showing Pending for your truck. You can try to select Update now. If it doesnt work you cant ask the dealer to run the gateway update or I can send you the files to load onto a USB drive and you can install yourself

wow! Thanks Jesse. I tried to click update now but it doesn’t see anything. Anyway to force a check?

My dealership seemed technically declined tbh. They thought lane keeping assist was BC and I showed them a YouTube video and they went “oh that’s cool. Never seen that” SMH…

Yeah. Dealers are idiots. Your maps expired and need to be renewed. If you go to about sync youll see the date is 10-9-22 That date is SEPTEMBER 10. So yours has not worked since then.

If you want I can send you the files to load onto a USB and it will extend them the I believe 10-12-22 which would be December 12 22.

is this something ford is trying to be in front of? Kinda seems like they’re behind the 8 ball needing to manage this fast of an update cycle

Ford has messed everything up. Ford has handled this like armatures. It would take me a hour long video to go over all the screw ups.

When Jesse offers to send you files to load on a USB stick, what he actually is offering is to save you from spending $500 for the cheapest OBD adapter and $50 for the shortest term license for FDRS.

Or he's offering you a chance to avoid convincing the dealership to plug their OBD adapter into your truck and use their license for FDRS to do the same.

Both methods simply download the same files and copy them to the USB stick.

It's quite the generous offer.

Youre OTA installed. The issue seems to be that its taking an unordinary time for the update to flip the date. If you have forscan you can try resetting the Gateway a few times. If not you can only wait. I can confirm the OTA did install. It is takign SEVERAL key ignition cycles to take affect for the 22s.

Yeah I saw the same when I pulled my OASIS. Just no one at my store can seem to figure it out and we have 2 other customer vehicles in the same boat. I’ll talk to the tech tomorrow and see if he can force it. Thanks for the insight, I truly appreciate it.

No problem. Only thing you can do to force it is force reset the gateway and I’m not aware of a reset in FDRS. I’ve seen it take a few days on some. Depending on how much it’s driven. The other issue is the way they install the map package on the 22s. What ya not an independent package.
Patience is all you can really give it.

Thank you for the information here. I thought I was going crazy and this problem was unique to my truck. As Murphy would have it, the day this problem showed up was the day I made a 6 hour drive. VERY frustrating but it started worked again about 4 days later.

You did get an OTA actually the 21st at 2:22. But it wasnt the update of the bluecruise maps. Youre lucky you got that one, it released the next one that has them. So now I can send it to you.
