Ford must not have tested BC with Asian drivers.

At night, I am getting constantly (every 10 seconds) the eyes on the road alerts. This is with my eyes watching the road and no glasses. I have to move my head or open my eyes up very wide and move my head up and down in order for the alert to be satisfied.

If I constantly move my head and/or open my eyes wide, the alert usually does not come on, but sometimes it does. Very frustrating on several over-night drives cross country when you cannot just watch the road, but have to make faces while driving!
Ford released an Update for the CMR. (Module that monitors Driver)

I just installed that update today! "Ohh please don't make it worse!" :)
I installed it when it came out and I think it was a improvment. I noticed less warnings.

There is a issue though if you wear polarized glasses. Those will cause issues regardless of software version.

I find my BC to be extremely well refined. Mine doesn't like 2 things. It doesn't like me getting too comfy and leaning my head all the way back on the headrest. I tilted the headrest forward 2 clicks and its fine now. It also doesn't like when I drink. My big a** hand blocks the sensors. Short of that mine works incredibly well. Only yells at me when I'm being bad. Even likes my Polarized mirrored Gators.

I'm not seeing anyone else mention it, But for me, When I got the last OTA update, Using cruise control now taps into the eye system. I have BC off, driving manually with cruise control on and it will yell at me to keep my eyes on the road. Super fine that it does, But it didn't before the last update. Is anyone else seeing this??

Even with BC on driving with cruise control not on BC mapped roads I get the warnings . Otherwise it has been working rather well and the nanny only gets mad when you do things when not keeping your eyes in the camera view, like drinking out of a travel mug or looking too long at the map screen. Matter of fact , just driving with lane centring and no cruise control brings a warning from the nanny if you are distracted

I only wear polarized sunglasses and haven't had an issue with them yet. It will occasionally complain depending on my head angle/position though.

Friday I had the most issues with it to date, but it was afternoon/evening after rain and the truck went back and forth on seeing the lines and losing them. I was close to just turning off centering since I had to have my hands on the wheel most of the drive anyway.

In the rain forget it. Useless. BlueCruise wont engage. Lane centering is useless.

I have found that BlueCruise assimilates lane centering and there is no separating the two. At least the layman can't. I would love to turn off BlueCruise and its nanny cam (and only this), yet leave lane centering on. You can't do this though. As such my opinion of BlueCruise is less than thrilled. The self driving ability of my Ford Maverick is superior to my BlueCruise F150.

I believe you can go into settings and disable BC so the lane centering works without evoking BC. Whether or not the eye cams will be used I couldn't say.

Eye tracking works really well with my July 22 build... Even with the polarized sun glasses I wear almost always.. The times it warns me are all warranted.. I do like the system because I think it really helps me..

Now if I can get BC to work consistently on the exact same stretches of the highway...

No you can't. There is a toggle labeled something like lane centering with hands-free. If you toggle this off, what you're really turning off is lane centering AND hands-free. I've tried this. No joy. The two can not be separated. When you activate lane centering BlueCruise turns on and starts working even if you're in a school zone doing 15 mph (meaning that pesky nanny cam starts watching you). BlueCruise assimilates lane centering just like the Borg does the space galaxies.

That blows.

I went into a rage on a long trip last weekend because of the alerts. If there is no way to disable the alerts, is there a way to make the trigger longer before it starts alerting? I like to look around and notice the things around me. I look in the passing cars, and the alert is beeping almost as soon as I turn my head to look. If I can get the reporting time a little longer, I would even be satisfied with that.

I wish there was and if you find one, please let me know. I'm in the same camp.

I tried. This doesn't do what one would think it might. If you turn off BlueCruise with this switch you also turn off lane centering. The two are one.

As I recall the label reads something like "turn off BlueCruise with lane centering". What it really means is "turn off BlueCruise and lane centering".
