Blue Cruise - Dealer Download PROBLEMS!!

I just spoke with the service advisor at the dealership and they said they are replacing the entire IPC (cluster behind the steering wheel). I would hope that would fix the problem… what are your thoughts?

I'm no Jesse, but it sounds like they are trying to solve a software issue with a hardware replacement. It sounds like they are grasping at straws and will likely not work.

Lol so true. I guess I’ll have more info from them in a few days. Im mostly past the point of being angry and think it’s just comical now.

Its stupid. But its one way to do it.

After thinking it wont fix it. Im about 95% sure also youll have a Odometer statement on your truck now since its federally mandated Im sure that will help resale

What exactly do you want to know regarding your VIN?

I know this might sound a bit harsh, but it's going to look exactly like every VIN that's ever looked up. Yet another 2021 F150 that is awaiting various module updates before it will be fully functional with all the features promised.

The choices haven't changed.
1. Wait
2. Roll the dice with another dealership
3. Update yourself

I'm not picking on anyone nor am I intending to do anything but ENCOURAGE folks to avoid further aggravation. This forum is RICH with documentation and evidence of success.

Yup. You're right.

The last time any work was done it was on the 7th. All the other times FDRS was used (8th, 10th, 17th, 20th) it was just to ID the vehicle, but not to perform any work.

Here's what happened on the 7th:

The PMIs you see here were for the IPC. At step 29 the self test results were an indication of an IPC configuration issue. And that's where they left it. Nothing attempted since then.

Here's what FDRS says you have pending today:

Sorry didnt see this. Your IPC is messed up. They cant go any further until we sort that out.

If you have the truck take these files to a USB formatted ExFat and run it. Start truck up. Insert USB wait for a pop Up that says update detected. Wait for restart required. Once that pops up turn truck off walk away for 15 mins. Come back start truck and wait for the install successful pop up. MUST Wait for that message. After the install youll be able to move forward. The dealer wont be able to fix it. I was able to make this usb. If I wanst youd have a mess on your hands and we would have to do a 6 hour flash to the IPC.

After the install they will need to run a network scan and then the next updates will show

You have an issue with the IPC(Cluster) Half the update loaded. bad thing is it was the Small half. The large half didnt. So before you can get any further that has to be fixed. The dealer wont be able to. Youll have to decide to do it yourself. Otherwise youll be chasing this forever.

I have had my truck at the dealer twice. Blue cruise still does not work. It says blue cruise active but the screen never goes blue. It just says keep eyes on the road, take control of the vehicle. They don't seem to have any idea why it does not work. Any ideas?
