Not sure if anyone has watched this yet!

I was on the fence between the 6112’s and the Eibach Pro Truck

So are you going the 6112 route ? My only issue with 6112 is that some are getting less the 2in of lift in the front. On the PB

6112’s sorry! I’m probably going to remove the rear blocks to get a more leveled look

I’m not looking for a ton of lift. Just better handling and ride quality

I did the 6112's in the front (on the highest clip) and 5160's in the rear. If you are looking for better ride quality, you won't find it with these Bilstein's. Being that they are a digressive valve design, the little imperfections and smaller oscillations are much more noticeable than the stock suspension. It's the bigger dips and bumps where they really shine and soften up

After a week or so of use on the 6112’s. I can say I’m pleasantly smitten. The truck doesn’t rebound 3-4 times like it used to over backing out of my driveway! Just once at back like it should!

overall ride is superior and controlled. Turning there is literally 0 body roll in the front which I love!!

my only “complaint” is the small bumps you tend to feel a bit more but it feels like a sport tuned suspension

overall 12/10 would do again ?

Is this an optimal setup to improve ride and handling without killing hauling capacity? Love the truck other than terrible handling.

I got the factory 18" BAP on a 24 XLT FX4 5.0. So I have to downsize to a 17 inch wheel (i.e. Raptor take off wheels) to fit 35's?

The offset of the wheel is what matters not the diameter of the wheel. The overall diameter is what you need to be concerned with.

I have 285/65/20's and the wheel is a +20 offset. I did have rubbing on the crash bars and air dam. I trimmed the Air dam and got an alignment to give me a bit more caster, and now it fits with no rubbing. You will also need to install the SPC alignment kit for any shop to be able to dial in the camber and caster.

If you are using a wheel that has closer to the OEM offset (+44) you may not need to make any alignment changes

@dadrew now that you’ve put several months on the 6112’s, any long term feedback?! I too am looking at the 6112’s but just a tad nervous on the small bump compliance.

I came from a 2017 Lariat Screw and threw on the 4600’s with a bigger set of tires (LT275 70r18. E-load) and the ride was quite rough/stiff.

Now I have a 2024 powerboost with 20” rims and thinking on going to a bigger tire again without downsizing rims. Just worried that it’ll be stiff again; potholes, square edge hits, washboard roads, etc.

@Jpp993 its a mixed bag for me to be honest, I think if I had to do it again I would probably try the Eibach Pro-Truck Coilover 2.0.....from what I have read those are a good middle ground between firm and soft.

I would say the 6112's are a bit on the firmer side but only on larger bumps, you feel them but not in the seat....it's a bit confusing to explain. You'd almost have to drive it to know what I am saying. There is little to no rebound which I was definitely happy with

on the road though they have been great, I have taken a few hundred mile road trips and haven't noticed a thing on smooth roads

I really hope this helps and doesn't make it worse!!

This is the best way to describe the difference between the 6112s and Eibach 2R kits. Eibach falls right in the middle of comfort and offroad performance. Where as Bilstein excels at the performance driven driving. We don’t feel you made a mistake at all going with 6112s. We love those shocks. But we do know they can ride slightly firmer overall compared to others. And or course that’s by design. So no wrong choices were made!

If we can give any advice we’d say stay away from 6112s on a PB. They already ride slightly firmer than others. And with the extra weight of the PB some find it too harsh for day to day driving.

Our top seller for PBs is the Eibach Stage 2R. By a long shot. It’s a great all around kit. Through and through.

If you need help or need a kit let us know! We’d be happy to help you out anytime.
