I wanted to be able to see boost pressure and IAT and the easiest way was to use a Banks IDash8. I didn't want a bunch of different gauges. No sensors to place or install, just install the gauge using their A-pillar pod mount and plug it into the ODB II port. You can set up the pages how ever you like with all of the available PID's on the bus. I like looking at Boost pressure, IAT and then both commanded and read AFR in the 4 parameter screen I am using (Screen 3). You can choose any color you want for back round, font, lines etc. so you can set it up how ever you like. You can also pull and reset codes from it! No need to go get the scanner, you must be at zero MPH to use the diagnostic mode. Also can do emission checks to make sure the system is all good before youy go get a inspection etc. nice tool.

Good stuff and if you pay for the upgraded model, you can data log too. Install was easy and their instructions are some of the best! I mean they were perfect and good pictures that walk you through the rather simple install. Looks factory when done, all wiring hidden. The wire pops behind the cover on the side of the dash and you remove the grab handle to mount the pod. You do have to cut one trim piece. They even include the step bit to use for the install to drill the hole to run the cable into/trough the grab handle to the pod. Great kit.

I'm seeing $109 for the mount and $269 for the basic model "SuperGauge"... $395 for the upgraded "DataMonster", if I'm looking at the right products. I'll be shopping this during Black Friday, thanks!

Yup, that's it, and install is super easy and clean. Data Monster lets you log data and you can play the data back on the display! Really a nice unit.

I have the dual iDash in my Duramax and they're great. As said above, super simple install.

I had the same issue for my 2024 5.0, so I called Banks and ordered it over the phone. Something with their website is screwy-

I have the upgraded Banks IDash8 data log and will be getting my Whipple Gen 6X Stage 1 that I just ordered installed soon. My question for you would be with the Whipple, do you have some sort of guide on what “Normal” temps should look like on the gauge? Do you have maybe a link to how the numbers should look while under boost? Because I would like to set mines up to alert me if my temps should ever run high. I was told that getting one would be the best investment for any Supercharged engine because it’ll definitely prevent the engine from overheating or worse catastrophic failure/damage. I’ve had my IDash8 Data Monster since September this year and I love it!
