Just want to give a shoutout to BAK for standing behind their product.

The seals on my three year old Revolver X4S started detaching. Emailed them to see if I could buy replacement seals, they offered a warranty replacement as long as I could provide a serial number and my address. My serial number sticker came off a long time ago... and they still sent a replacement to Canada.

I'll update when the replacement arrives but I was pleasantly surprised given some of the recent experiences I've had trying to get warranty work and replacements (For the love of god, do not buy a General Electric Washer/Dryer...). I am a little disappointed in that I was planning on switching to a hard trifold from a local Canadian company, but I can't argue with not dropping a couple of hundred dollars right now.

I screwed up trimming a rail on my trifold and I contacted them and explained what I had done and they sent me out a new rail free of charge! If I downsize to a Maverick Tremor I will order another BakFlip!

New tonneau cover was delivered today and installed just now. It was nice that they included new hardware as well. I am a little disappointed at the amount of aluminum shavings on the cover. Apparently this is not uncommon.

Both my first and replacement were covered in aluminum chips. I worked smarter on the second one and had the shopvac ready.

The Realtruck companies are getting better - I think. I’ve found emailing their direct customer service email is far better than going through the generic Realtruck email.

Biggest frustration I have is everything on the warranty side is made to order. I had to wait 2 weeks for a replacement BAKFlip that - when it arrived - had been destroyed by FedEx. I had to wait another 2 weeks for a replacement for the replacement.

The box I had stated that it was their new improved packaging, meant to be more durable for shipping. FedEx wasn't exactly gentle with the box but it held up well. I will say the quality, apart from the aluminum chips, seemed better than my first X4S - that one seemed like the punch machine missed its mark a couple of times on the underside and put some divots into the slats off the mark. Also noticed the label on the cover now says Realtruck rather than Bak Industries X4S...

Yup! Been a good experience both times I've contacted them. I bought my revolver cover in March of 21 when i bought my truck. Got it replaced under warranty 2 years later and again just 6 months ago. Both times i had a replacement cover within 7 days.

Thank you for that feedback! There have definitely been some improvements on the X4s for the new Gen. BAK is apart of the RealTruck product family and we have started to put RealTruck branding on some of our covers.

If anyone ever needs assistance with their BAK or any other products we offer, please don't hesitate to PM me. Happy to help!

@Realtruck is there any reason why warranty replacements can’t be pulled from your normal inventory? I’ve had to replace a couple of things under warranty, and for both Bak and Undercover, items have to be manufactured. In one case I waited almost a month for the replacement to arrive, and when it finally arrived it had been destroyed by FedEx Ground. Had to wait another 10 days for a replacement for the replacement.

If yall advertise “Rapidship” on the website, maybe include warranty issues in that program?

You make a good point, and I see what you're saying. The manufacturer (in this case, BAK Industries) handles the warranties at their level. That way, you're getting a direct replacement or parts that's been inspected and approved by them to meet your warranty expectations. It's unfortunate that the shipper didn't take care in this case, but I'm glad to hear we were still able to get that sorted out for you.

Our warehouse inventory is stocked for purchases on the website, making those RapidShip icons you see on our products a good indicator for you to know we have it ready now when you make a purchase.

If you ever need help with a warranty or shipping timelines, that's what we're here in the forum for- just shoot me a DM. I'll get you connected with our team that's dedicated to assisting our forum members, and we'll handle it from there.
