Backup camera recall gone from FordPass

Got the sync 25.2.1.6.5 update the other day for my 21 PB and now the safety recall is gone from the FordPass app!!

nice to see they got their stuff together and figured out these trucks not updating!

Recall for my 2021 went away.

I thought it might have been because as-builds from early June FDRS updates were uploaded to Ford, which included the recall “fix.”

I received the same update recently, but the recall is still listed in the app.

The recall is also gone from mine too. Only have the the fuel pump recall now. Guess they pushed out an OTA to resolve it.

Update installed the other day, but recall still shows in FordPass as remedy not available.

Edit: Now the recall has disappeared from Ford Pass.

How in the hell does one figure out what updates are awaiting/needing installation? Dealer gave me a list of 20 something and for a one day only price of $3,000 would download and install. Otherwise, "they will install when Ford is ready for them to install". I sit 25 feet from my line-of-sight modem and everything is enabled.

Any thoughts?

You could send @rugedraw a DM to see what updates your truck still needs.

After that either buy a Mongoose cable or get in on the lending thread and get a short term FRDS license and knock out the updates yourself. If you buy one and decide you don't need it after you're done you can quickly sell it on here or Ebay.

I have a job 1 2021 and had the backup camera recall on my truck. There were about 4 different over-the-air updates that came through in the last 3 weeks, and now my recall is no longer listed for my truck. I cannot find the recall on my app or the Ford website. I guess they are saying that the over-the-air update fixed the camera issue?

That'd be my guess. I have noticed that the sync black screen/freezing on startup or when going into reverse issue has not occurred for me in a while now. It used to happen at least once every few days so I'm cautiously optimistic that Ford has resolved it with an OTA update.

Same thought here. I had the recall, then received three OTA updates. Camera has worked since the update with no reboots. Now the recall notice has been removed.

At least we know Ford can make the OTA process work when they have enough motivation.
